How is the current version verified?

The released version comes from the public update policy used by Jetstream’s Windows updater. The source project keeps a placeholder version that is replaced during release packaging, so reading the project file alone can report the wrong public version.

Because update policy can change, the version and minimum-supported value on this page are dated rather than presented as timeless facts.
