If schedule breadth and contract simulation are the priority, that is a strong fit. If live Jetstream community context and the combined career-plus-cabin layer matter more, Jetstream is the more focused fit.

Jetstream vs. OnAir: career companion or airline business?
Jetstream keeps the pilot at the center. It tracks employment, routes, grades, progression, and airline mastery without asking the player to manage a full logistics company.
OnAir’s official feature set goes much further into business simulation: fleets, staff, finances, logistics, industries, airports, virtual airlines, and a shared persistent economy. Choose OnAir when managing the company is part of the fun. Choose Jetstream when you mainly want to be the airline pilot.

Jetstream vs. NeoFly: airline focus or mission variety?
NeoFly describes itself as a free career add-on for MSFS 2020 and 2024 with 18 mission types spanning bush, emergency, airline, campaigns, and exploration. That breadth makes it a good choice when variety matters more than a single professional identity.
Jetstream is intentionally narrower. Its career, roster, map, grading, and cabin systems are built around airline operations. Choose the specialization you expect to use every week.

Is PACX or Self-Loading Cargo a Jetstream alternative?
Only partly. PACX remains primarily a passenger-and-crew product. The Self-Loading Cargo base product is cabin-first, while its optional Line Pilot add-on now overlaps more directly with airline-career products through generated multi-sector schedules, airline membership, fleets, ranks, promotion checkrides, and persistent cabins.
Jetstream’s cabin announcements sit inside its own airline career. PACX emphasizes passenger and crew reactions and interactions; it also includes customizable career options, flight records, awards, career tracking, and rank progression, but it does not center airline employment and scheduled route progression.
