Flight-state detection varies with simulator data and aircraft support. The table describes the current intent, not a guarantee that every third-party aircraft exposes every cockpit state identically.

Are all 11 announcements automatic?

No. Jetstream has 11 slots, but the correct current description is automatic and manual cues, not “11 automatic announcements.” PA04, ready for takeoff, is manual-only. That keeps a pilot-controlled operational moment from firing on an unreliable guess.

Other slots use flight phases or cockpit events when the required data is available. Pilots can preview audio and replace the file assigned to each slot.

How does Jetstream know when to play a cue?

The same live simulator connection used for tracking follows flight stages and relevant events. Depending on the cue, that can include engine state, movement on the ground, altitude thresholds, climb or descent direction, level-off, approach height, seatbelt state, landing rollout, and time in cruise.

Generic aircraft expose standard simulator variables. Enhanced providers add deeper switch-state support for selected PMDG 737/777, iFly 737 MAX, Fenix A319/A320/A321, FlyByWire A32NX/A380X, and iniBuilds A350/A340 families.

Who is the PA system for?

It is for airline simmers who already have or create airline-specific audio and want the playback to follow the flight without keeping a separate soundboard in focus. It is lighter than a full passenger-management simulator: the goal is reliable cabin timing inside the broader Jetstream career.
