What are the five Jetstream career ranks?

Career rank is only one part of the record. Jetstream also keeps the pilot’s XP, hours, average rating, airline employment, virtual balance, completed legs, and airline-specific mastery.
How do airlines and rosters work?
Jetstream’s documented catalog contains more than 60 modern and historic airlines represented with callsigns, real-world-inspired routes, ICAO airports, and fleet compositions. Pilots can apply for roles at live airlines as their career develops. Historic carriers are archive content flown through the dashboard switcher when the relevant pack is owned, not employers that accept applications.
Once employed, Jetstream generates a standard roster that defaults to five flights and can be adjusted from 1 to 20 before generation; contract rosters use the remaining contract legs. Each leg includes a departure, arrival, callsign, expected aircraft, distance, and duration. Pilots can fly that sequence or create a supported out-of-roster custom flight when they want more control; the current custom-flight fee is 1,000 from the pilot’s virtual balance.
How does a completed flight affect progression?
A career flight is not accepted from a self-reported result. Jetstream sends bounded simulator evidence to its backend, which checks flight lifecycle, route coverage, takeoff and landing evidence, detected aircraft, warnings, and other grading inputs before returning the authoritative result.
A qualifying completed leg updates the pilot’s record and may affect flight count, hours, rating, rewards, airline history, XP, and airline mastery. The exact outcome depends on the flight and the current career rules.
What is airline mastery?
Airline mastery is separate from the main pilot rank. It records how many eligible completed legs a pilot has flown for an airline and applies five current thresholds:

Where is career progress stored?
Jetstream stores the detailed career locally under the authenticated account on the Windows device. It also backs up selected career and logbook fields—such as rank, XP, balance, entitlements, completed flights, and hours—to Firebase under the exact authenticated account ID for restore on another device.
The product remains alpha software. Local or cloud safeguards reduce risk but do not guarantee that progress can never be lost.
